I have said since I was very young that us conservative/libertarian types are the counter culture.
There was a time when young people wanted to fight the man. Now the man collects $60k to $100k a year feeding them lies in the classroom, all the while claiming to fight the man alongside them.
Quick tip to the students out there who maintain relationships with their teachers/professors…
They aren’t hip, cool, or even groovy. If they claim to be on your side in the fight against “The Man” whomever they claim that to be (white males, capitalism, racism, etc.) they are lying.
They are more than likely part of one of the most powerful entities in the country (teachers unions,) and therefore incapable of fighting authority… Because they are the authority…
But I digress…
My writing today is inspired by my grandmother.
Grandma is an Irish Catholic that grew up in the late 50’s early 60’s, who married a man that later became a fireman and moved his family from east LA (at that time not a shit hole,) to Orange County.
Grandma is a staunch conservative and religious woman. The rich tones of Dennis Prager’s voice can be heard coming from her living room’s entertainment center speakers every weekday morning from 9 AM to 12 PM. She attends mass every Thursday, and she still irons tee shirts for some reason.
She has a great disdain for foul language, though her husband and both of her sons are so linguistically adept in the art of obscenity that their frustration fueled soliloquies have been at times dubbed Shakespearean.
She insists that her grandchildren “smile more often” and “wear more color” as black should only be worn to funerals.
She enjoys Frankie Valli, The Jersey Boys, and literally every artist featured on the American Graffiti soundtrack. If’s she’s not watching HGTV, she’s more than likely watching Green Acres on TVland. Her idea of edgy programming features Dean Martin and Foster Brooks at a bar pretending to be drunk.
If one calls her landline (which she believes still tangibly utilizes a metal wire,) and does not state one’s name along with the reason for one’s call upfront you will be promptly hung up on. If you disrespect her and or anyone in her party, she will speak to your manager.
She raised two sons successfully who in turn gave her four grandchildren. And if you are lucky enough to be one of those four grandchildren you will be fed sandwiches anytime you enter her home along with shortbread cookies (ginger snaps when she’s feeling extra geriatric) and a Coca-Cola.
She’s a patriot. A true American. A true American who almost lost her country…
If Hillary Clinton had won, the America she knew and loved– the one that she grew up in would be lost, possibly forever.
She understood this, and though I’m sure it killed her she began modernizing herself for the sake of her country.
You see, young people who are not intellectually challenged understand that the right is the new counter-culture. It’s the side that leaves you alone.
While the right will in fact judge, it won’t try and legislate its judgments beyond the state level, if at all.
This year we have seen a tremendous demographic shift in the conservative movement. We are no longer the movement of just middle-class white America. We are now the movement of fags, trannies, pot smokers, blue collar democrats and even Kanye West!
Trump won because we all came together against a common enemy.
That enemy? Tyranny.
It is important for us on the conservative right to acknowledge that without those with whom we may disagree when it comes to social culture, we could not have retained our political culture.
Without those who disagree with us when it comes to religious beliefs, acceptable sexual behavior, substance usage, and the portrayal of such issues in media, we would have lost our country
And without us stuffy, white, conservatives… Fags themselves wouldn’t be permitted to say the word fag, any and all sexual contact would require a written contract prior to engagement, and Islamic extremists would be allowed to rape, pillage, and murder anyone they please on American soil.
While the religious right, and the alternative right, are different in nature when it comes to social culture they value the most important constitutional principle equally:
We could not have done it if we had not come together. The new counter-culture, the conservative movement is the most diverse and unpredictable group of people that have ever been classified as similar.
And for that, we must thank one another. We must not break the bonds that hold us together.
If you are a stoner, be considerate about your habit, don’t smoke it around children or in confined public places. You’re gonna piss off Archie Bunker (who’s my homie btw)
For the fags out there, we don’t care if you get married, we don’t care what you do in your own bedrooms, so don’t shove it in our faces or sue us when we refuse to bake you a wedding cake.
For the stuffy old white people out there, they aren’t fucking your sons in the ass, or getting married in your churches. If they are, that’s an issue you have to bring up with your church. So don’t march in protest, don’t hold up a sign that says God hates fags. (As if that was us to begin with…)
Instead of defining ourselves by our differences let’s define ourselves by the things that we hold in common– The common belief that all men are created equal and shall be valued that way by their government. The common belief that the government does not grant us our rights, but that we grant it’s.
If we live lifestyles that are incompatible, then we must work together to remedy our close quarters. If you don’t like watching queers make out, don’t move to West Hollywood. And if you’re a fag and don’t like getting strange looks from passing families as you kiss your mate, don’t move to Orange County… or at the very least no tongue please…
Look, I’m kidding, but I’m also not.
My grandmother about had a heart attack the first time she saw a tattoo on my skin. She will never get used to it. She will never approve. But she will never disown me either.
She will never stop offering me sandwiches and Coca-Cola when I come to her home. She will never stop forwarding me silly emails, or pestering me about wearing black all the time. She will never deny that we share blood.
And we Americans can’t either. We all share American blood. The blood of freemen and the blood of men willing to fight for those who are not free.
We’ve been the counterculture for the past 20 years. It’s time we become the culture. Not the social culture but the political culture. We cannot achieve this if we do not stand together.
Trump won because we all came together against a common enemy. We cannot beat the left separated so if we wish to live on in an America that values freedom we must learn to live and let live.
Self-segregate and support each other in times of need.
We have a responsibility to set aside our petty differences in order to combat those with whom we have big ones.
Be thankful we live in America. Be thankful we didn’t lose for good this last go around.
As a part of the libertarian community all to often I am subject to the whining that so many young/naive libertarians do about the separation of church and state.
The reason for the whining is obvious, and that is that most young people immaturely and naively hate being told what to do. This, in many cases, is what draws them towards libertarianism in the first place- Our belief that man should be free to do as he pleases to some extent.
In contrast with their naive attraction to libertarianism (which is fundamentally a good thing) is their attraction towards secularism (which is fundamentally a bad thing.)
Though I just jabbed a bit at the secular libertarians/conservatives for being secular (and I will continue to do so) this is not the topic I wish to discuss today.
All I wish to do is suggest that the passion that is exhibited by said heathens during discussion with their own side, in regards to the separation of church and states, is a bit unnecessary.
So hear me out.
Point number one:
Let’s speak strictly philosophically here for a moment shall we?
If we are to accept as a nation the nonexistence of God, we are also accepting the lack of any existence after death including that in which punishment takes place.
Now many of you secular libertarians maintain that if someone needs a higher power to scare you into doing “the right thing” then that someone is a piece of shit.
By that logic I am, and I wager most of you are (if you are intellectually honest with yourselves), pieces of shit.
I am someone that needs fear of punishment as motivation to be good. I happen to believe that this is a logical way of life. I believe you would be a moron to be “good” in the subjective moral world that exists without monotheism. But what does that matter?
The mere fact that I admit people like me exist, that is people who believe themselves to be evil in nature, should be enough to make you “morally superior, mature, intelligent, enlightened atheist libertarians” back off the separation of church and state issue.
The risk of societal collapse is far greater when its people fall to secularism. At the very least one must acknowledge the degree of barbarism in times of chaos is less intense in a monotheistic society when compared to that of a secular one. Don’t believe me? Just compare the French revolution to the American revolution.
Aren’t all of you libertarians fearful of economic collapse in the U.S?
Do you not look around at your peers who are “feeling the Bern” and wonder what is to come?
Why then do you choose to hammer on religious Christian conservatives so much?
I am a constitutionalist. I get it. I don’t want the church running the country either.
I get that you want your porn, your marijuana and your whore houses.
I understand that there are some small things that you and Christian conservatives disagree on,
but that’s exactly my point! They are small things, and in the meantime you tear our political party in two.
I know you folks are smart enough to realize that the “Social Justice Warrior” left is far more likely to regulate your lives than the Christian right.
Point number two:
Now here is a mind blowing thought. Are you ready?
This country was founded by Christians, for Christians.
I can practically feel the collective rage of all you secular libertarians out there as I type!
If you are someone who read that last statement and is thinking:
“WE HAVE SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE! HOW DARE YOU SAY SUCH A THING! DO YOU NOT VALUE THE CONSTITUTION!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!”
Don’t, and riddle me this…
If all of our founding fathers were secular and did not want a country centered around God, why does our federal law reflect that of a Judeo-Christian people?
Have you ever stopped and considered for a moment that for all intents and purposes you are a Christian? Practically speaking, if you don’t murder, you don’t steal, you don’t leave your wife high and dry with kids to feed and no income then you are living as a Christian. At the fundamental level at least.
If you follow our laws, you generally speaking, are treating your neighbor as you would wish to be treated, and that is the golden rule in the eyes of Christ.
Those of us who don’t live as Christians in the United States of America are jailed.
Whether you are an Atheist, a Nihilist, a Satanist, a Muslim, or a Buddhist does not matter. In this land you are required to act in a way that does not conflict with the teachings (at a fundamental level) of a Jew or a Christian. This, also means that you are in fact living (on a fundamental level) as a Christian.
As I said before… By Christians, for Christians.
Did the founders want a secular government? Sure they did!
And so maybe Christians ought to lay off the nativity scenes on the lawns of federal buildings. But it should be clear enough to you libertarians out there that are secular that nativity scenes on the lawns of local governmental buildings should be a local decision. Why?
Because even if the founders wanted a secular government, they most certainly wanted a God centered society.
So stop acting like a bunch of fucking ten year olds when someone says “one nation under God” in the pledge of allegiance. At least they still say the fucking thing! I’d be surprised if most high school students knew it by heart!
And if you still don’t believe the founders were Christian, you should try reading some primary source documents penned at their hands instead of listening to your commie professor who is to arrogant to take Howard Zinn’s dick out of his mouth for a single second in order to teach some actual history.
At the very least check out Joshua Charles’ book Libery’s Secrets: The Lost Wisdom of America’s Founders
If you want to be treated like an American, act like an American.
Injustice is a characteristic of our imperfect world. It will never disappear. It is a symptom of a much more serious sickness that plagues humanity. Evil.
However, injustice is a symptom that can be fought when it shows it’s face. Through organization, identification of convictions, and a strict adherence to said conviction, injustice can be treated effectively.
America is and always has been a light in the darkness of the world. A symbol of how organization and strong values can extinguish some of the most sinister evils.
Rioting, looting, vandalism, and anarchy are not American. These are things that belong to the third world.
Let us not be mistaken.
These things do not belong to the third world because said countries are impoverished and oppressed. It is because these things belong to the third world that it is impoverished and oppressed.
Americans know that it is in our actions that our motives can be made known to all. Even in our bloodiest of wars over injustice conviction, organization, and a respect for ones fellow man made our intentions clear.
Americanism is a mindset. It is a mindset that we Americans invite everyone to participate in, in the hopes of making our great country a better place.
Martin Luther King Jr. was an American. He had his values straight, he was organized and he respected his fellow man in his pursuit for justice.
Through his actions his intentions were made clear. Though MLK and his fellow black Americans faced great injustice during segregation he held true to his respect for mankind and the pursuit of happiness. This is an act of true Americanism.
Third world behavior is not just. And this message has been stated loud and clear to the American public.
Justice is no where to be found in Anarchy.
If you wish to participate in this great nation, this great idea…
If you wish to achieve the American dream…
Than stop identifying yourselves through your actions as third worlders, people of a diametrically opposed mindset.
If you wish to be an American… Then you best act like one.
Over the years I have handled many situations in ways that I am not proud of. The odd part is, the situations that I wish I would have handled differently are not situations in which I lost my cool, but rather situations I should have.
Here’s the story of one such situation, in which I wish I would have lambasted the crap out of someone, but instead kept my mouth shut.
My sophomore year in high school I had a friend who was quite trendy (and also a bit of a loud mouth).
One day during english class she came in wearing a shirt that featured this on the front.
She told me she had got it at Urban Outfitters or something, so you can imagine the style.
Anyways, on this particular day we had a substitute teacher because ALL THREE of our other teachers (Yes we had 3 teachers for one class… ) were out for the day.
Now here’s the thing…
The substitute is an interesting creature. Each of them unique in their own way, yet they all hold one thing in common…
They have zero accountability.
Over the years the things substitute teachers have gotten away with while I was in class amazes me. So either there is no system for weening out the bad ones or the system in place just really sucks… I imagine the latter is closer to the truth. After all we are talking public school and so long as their is a body in the classroom that can read out of the text book… well you know, that’s good enough for government work.
Anyways, the substitute we had on this day was one I wish I never had the pleasure of meeting.
After she basically told the class to do whatever they wanted she walked up to my friend who was wearing the uncle same shirt and began speaking to her. Luckily this conversation was taking place only one desk to the right of me, and while the room was loud due to the fact that the class was having a free for all, I could still hear everything that was being said. The substitute must not have known it.
You will have to forgive me as it has been 3 years since I was a sophomore in high school so I do not quite remember what she said word for word, but what I do remember I will write.
Here’s how the conversation went.
Sub: I love your shirt.
Friend: Oh thanks!
Sub: It’s so true isn’t it!?
Friend: Oh haha yea *sheepishly*
Sub: I swear I can’t stand conservatives!
Friend: Yea *again sheepishly*
Sub: I always try to push my agenda in class, you know influence these kids into thinking my way.
Sub: Every now and then you will get one of those stupid kids who has been brainwashed by there parents that will say something, but what are they gonna do.
Sub: I once told a kid who caught me lying to go ahead and report me. I’m a sub, what are you gonna do fire me!?
Friend: hahahaha *even more sheepishly*
Sub: Hahahahaha anyways awesome shirt!
and that was the end of it.
Usually I would have jumped at an opportunity like this. Something this blatant and evil in my face… It was like a dream come true.
But then I realized something…
Every single kid in the classroom was talking and tweeting and texting and hanging out with their classmates. There were students on desks and students on the floor and even a couple of students behind the teachers desk. I realized that while it angered me, and I probably should have recorded and reported the happenings of the classroom that day in order to punish her, it probably wouldn’t do me very good.
Instead I chose to talk to my friend, the one wearing the shirt, about what had just happened.
I explained to her that yes her shirt has a ver valid point, but that it speaks to the nature of leftism and higher taxation rather than conservatism and smaller government.
We had a laugh about it and then I joined my peers in the wasting of tax dollars by spending the rest of the period on my phone and talking to the girls around me… 😎
I haven’t had many experiences likes this. Usually if I feel I even have the slightest reason to speak up I will. Just ask the rest of my teachers.
But when a situation like this does occur, and I do nothing…. It can keep me up at night literally years later when I am out of high school trying to sleep so that I can get up for work in the morning.
Earlier this evening I was watching “All In” Chris Hayes’ show on MSNBC.
I repeat this transgender American is only 5 years old!
As always the left-wing media nailed this story as they told it through a documentary style short film that sported a trendy feel.
Yes conservatives, you have a lot to learn about news and more specifically media. Fox sports Bill O’Reilly as their poster child, the face of their channel if you will, while Chris Hayes at MSNBC uses hip cinematography techniques and tearjerking stories to push his agenda.
It’s no wonder we always lose.
Anyways, the person who is reporting on the story goes by the name of Kate Snow.
Chris had Kate Snow on in order to elaborate on this story and discuss briefly the details of the story.
Though the segment was brief it was very telling in regards to the worldview of people like Chris Hayes (a.k.a. him and his followers) and Kate Snow/the rest of MSNBC.
In their brief discussion about the story entitled “Jacob’s Journey” The pair discussed how raising young children, as they both do, can be “difficult terrain to navigate.”
After praising the parents of this transgender five-year-old Kate went on to describe how, and I quote, “There have been days when I’ve made my daughter wear a dress because we are going somewhere ‘fancy.'”
Kate continued on to mention how “parents can relate to not understanding what your child is going through.”
Though at face value this exchange seems to be an innocent conversation about a somewhat interesting/disgusting story, I believe it says a lot about the worldview of the average MSNBC viewer (Liberal).
When Kate mentioned those times that she has forced her daughter to wear a dress she said it in a way that suggested both her and Chris felt it to be a damaging demand of her daughter. As if teaching your child the appropriate attire to certain occasions is unacceptable or possibly controversial.
This raises a question. What do the folks at MSNBC believe a parent’s role in a child’s life.
Are parents supposed to… What’s the word I’m looking for…. PARENT their children? Or not?
If teaching your child to wear the appropriate attire at certain occasions is unacceptable, what is an acceptable parenting action?
Personally I am very troubled that these particular parents allowed their 5 year old to tell them what gender she was.
I know plenty of people that started off as severe “tom boys” as youngster only to become very feminine in their high school days.
One of my closest friends was this way and last time I checked she was pretty happy with her decision to stay a female.
smh America… smh
Keep it up 2016 is almost here!
